Black Women Tech Talk
The Black Women’s Tech Talk conference is now in its third year and is packed with motivation and great speakers. The conference also includes a $100,000 pitch competition! Founded by women, Black Women Tech Talk is a conference that showcases the brilliance of black women in tech and helps them build lasting connections. The conference is a great opportunity for women of color to build tech companies and earn real funding. Speakers include Regina Gwynn, Esosa Ighodaro, and Luvvie Ajayi.
In addition to hosting conferences throughout the year, the organization has also created a virtual summit that will bring together Black women in technology in order to meet investors and scale their businesses. The conference is the only event of its kind created by Black women in technology and is the largest gathering of Black women in technology. With this conference, women in tech can learn from seasoned executives, build deep connections, and gain invaluable lessons. The conference features four programming tracks: Startup, Scale-Up, and Founders.
Anita Borg Institute
The Anita Borg Institute for Women in Technology is one of the largest gatherings of women in the technology industry. Its events include hands-on workshops, leadership panels, and meet- and-greet sessions with top executives. The Institute has attracted a diverse group of women with a passion for computers, technology, and business. In the past, keynote speakers have included Latanya Sweeney, a former Miss America and current President of the Women’s Leadership Institute.
In 2002, Anita Borg began to suffer from cancer and asked Telle to take over as the interim CEO of the Institute. After Borg passed away in 2003, the institute changed its name to honor her memory. In 2003, Telle was made the permanent president and CEO. Today, the Institute organizes annual women’s conferences, including the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, which draws around 15,000 people.
Grace Hopper Celebration
This year, the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Technology conference brought the research interests of women in technology to the forefront. The conference brought together women from all walks of life to celebrate the contributions of women in the tech world. In honor of Rear Admiral Grace Hopper, one of the most influential women in tech, the conference brought together women from academia, industry, and government to celebrate the pioneering work of a remarkable woman. Hopper, the first woman to receive a doctorate in mathematics, also served in the U.S. Naval Reserve during World War II and worked on the Mark I computer. Allison Jeu, one of the attendees of the conference, talks about her experiences working on the Mark I computer during the war.
The Women in Tech Festival celebrates diversity in STEM fields and in business, and celebrates intersectional gender parity in tech. It includes a two-day festival, with sessions on gender- sensitive design strategy, diversity in tech, and career mentoring sessions. In addition to the main conference, the festival also features pre-recorded sessions, startup pitches, and panel discussions with prominent women in the industry. After the conference, attendees can connect with each other on social media, participate in interactive group discussions, and join the virtual after-party.
WeCode 2022
The 8th Iteration of Women Engineers Code is coming to Harward University, California, on February 14th. The conference is an annual student-run event focusing on the advancement of women in computer science. It is aimed at undergraduate female students, and non-binary individuals. The conference is completely free and open to all, with a scholarship available to students who qualify. The festival is a great opportunity to meet and network with inspiring women in the tech industry, and to learn about the future of the tech industry.

Simmons Leadership Conference
